A vortex bound for inebriated glory gone stone cold sober charming with an idiologic drawn out from grand court jesters fit for a king concluding humbled down for us poor ignorant folk. There is only one X to Marko the spot where surfing the Appalachian seems right as rain.
And honestly, many of Marko's offhand "experiments" I've seen posted on social media groups we both belong to hadn't resonated with me... they seemed to go through a lot of abstructural acrobatics without a net to catch an image with no hands to grasp hold of the trapeze bar reached for after impressive midair somersaults. They didn't seem to be cooked enough for my taste. But in the ring where it counts, "in the arena", as Bukowski put it, he punches lights out. My only real complaint (registered by pocketing a star) is the tiny tiny friggin' 8-pt font used by the publisher. I hate that. It's like, No, no, don't read it, nothing really going on here anyway. I had to read at my drafting table using its magnifier to get comfortable with the layout... because there's a lot going on here. Mark Hartenbach writes the kind of poetry that "jumps off of the page" a very enjoyable read..a very good collection
